TMJ Disorder

The main joint in your jaw, the temporomandibular joint (TMJ), can be the source of ailments like jaw pain, stiffness of the neck, and headaches when affected by TMJ disorder. Symptoms vary among those affected, but discomfort is consistent among those with TMJ disorder. There are several treatment options available such as corrective dentistry, medication, splint appliances, occlusion analysis, and the NTI tension suppression system. The NTI, otherwise known as the Trigeminal Nerve System, keeps you from clenching your teeth as you sleep as well as making sure you don’t keep your jaw too open.

Sleep Apnea

Obstructive sleep apnea (OSA) affects more than 18 million people in the United States and is one of the most common sleep disorders diagnosed. If you are affected, you may feel tired during your day despite getting a good night’s rest, or your sleep may be disturbed by snoring. Those affected by OSA could be at an increased risk of experiencing health issues such as a stroke, hypertension, driving or work-related incidents, or a heart attack. There are a few courses of action you could take yourself to improve this condition, but for those who particularly struggle there are medical treatment options at our Concord location. Schedule an appointment to see if you could benefit from our treatment.
